Get Your Myon!

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Teachers will learn:

1. How to create a classroom in your Myon account.
2. How to create a book set.
3. How to search for books using the standards.
4. How to assign books to students.
5. How to share books with other colleagues.
6. How to use this tool for cross-curricular units.

Teachers and students have access to all genres of books in all subject areas. This site pairs books with state standards for individual reading or whole group instructional reading. Teachers can assign students a book and it can read it for them. Students can read the same book with other students for classroom "book clubs". High ability students can read books that are more detailed and with more rigorous questions. It gives every student a lexile level and many books are AR books.

This provides students with practice for reading using digital media sources which is similar to how they are tested throughout the school year. Teachers can use Ipads or computers for students to read from for this site. Many of the books in Myon are more appealing to the students because they are on the Ipad. The books/novels have an excellent set of illustrations and graphic similar to video games which draw in students.
