Service-Learning has built in engagement, but it has to be more than just a fun day where we helped people. This session will give concrete examples of service-learning projects that have an impact on the community and also rigorously engage the standards. Participants will leave with an idea for a service learning project that is fully anchored in major standards for their grade level. Participants will also be introduced to online resources for service-learning project ideas through GenerationOn and philanthropic based lesson plans through Learning to Give.
